Dr. Sunil Mehra
MD (Paediatrics) from Banaras Hindu University, India has been a
practising paediatrician for over three decades. Has founded MAMTA
in 1990 and with his vision expanded its work to 12 states of India
and neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and Nepal.
Dr. Mehra has conceptualized, developed and provided technical
inputs into numerous maternal newborn and child health projects and
has contributed immensely to the policy and program dialogue in the
country and the region. He has been part of many task forces and
committees in India and globally. He continues to support
formulation of strategies and interventions to address issues like
adolescent reproductive and sexual health, maternal and child
health, HIV and AIDS in the country and the region. A committed
professional, Dr Mehra along with a few others has now
conceptualized the 10K club to work towards ensuring right to health
of children and adolescent.

Vast experience in the development sector, she has effectively
performed various responsibilities starting from directly working
with the community to planning programs for community development.
She has demonstrated competency in assessment of health progamme and
system, proposal development, conceptualizing and managing
programmes, facilitating capacity building, networking, advocacy
with key stakeholders, developing M&E framework and financial
management.

is a medical professional with specialisation in Paediatrics and has
served in the Indian Armed forces for more than two decades and
working with MAMTA more than 14 year.

Dr P K Goswami, M.B.B.S,
with MSc. In Maternal and Child Health, UK and Diploma in Child
Health(UK). He is a paediatrician by background and having acquired
hands on knowledge and skill on Adolescents/ Young People health and
development has been working for little more than three decades and
is in the organisation for last thirteen years with keen interestto
promote, women &child health and adolescents/young people's health
and development.

years in Accounting.

Mr. Ramesh Babu
Has almost two decades
of experience of working with different national level institutions
focussing on child and adolescent health and HIV. His last few years
have been spent on working for trainings and building capacities
around children and HIV/AIDS. At present he heads a team of around
ten professionals working across the country on children and
HIV/AIDS, Link Worker Scheme, TIs, Safe Motherhood and PPTCT
convergence in public health system.
Dr. Subha Sankar Das
He holds a Doctorate in Physical Anthropology from Delhi University.
He has 10+ years of experience in the field of community development
in rural as well as urban areas. He has been involved with various
projects focusing youth and adolescents including RCH, HIV/AIDS,
gender, rights, masculinity, reproductive health, sexuality
education, adolescent friendly health services. Designing research
based projects and intervention are his forte.

Iram Saeed
Having Post Graduate degree in Social Work with specilization in
Social Welfare has been working in developemntal sector for more
than 12 years. She has been associated with MAMTA since 1996 and
involved in conceptualizing and managing programmes, conducting
training workshops, liaisoning and Networking and advocacy mainly on
the issues of Women’s Empowerment, Adolescent Health and
Development, Reproductive Health, Sexuality, HIV/AIDS, Gender and
Rights.
Dr. Arti
Sharma, MBBS ,MD (Paediatrics)has
more than 5 years of experience of managing Paediatric and noenatal
OPDs and emergencies .Worked at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital from
2004-2007 as Senior Resident in Paediatrics. Currently assocaited
with various maternal and child health projects,has sound managerial
skills besides the ability to liaison, and work effectively with diverse
institutions and individuals.
Prashant
Pastore,
He has done his MA and one year
Mphil Coursework from Centre for Study of Regional Development, JNU
and at present he is deregistered from his PhD work from JNU. He has
obtained training from the University of Oregon on qualitative
techniques in analysis. Mr. Prashant has worked in the field of
content development and volunteer work in Himalayas before coming
into NGO sector. He is been working on various issues concerning
public health which includes environmental health. He has been part
of various national and international groups working across the
world. Mr Prashant has also participated in various UNEP
negotiations as part of civil society coalition. He has been an
active member of the global coalition of Health Care Without Harm
and ban HG.
In both environment and public health issues Mr Prashant has worked
closely with the both state and central government across the
country. He was part of consultation of national policy on Infection
Control and Environment Plan for MOHFW under NRHM. Before joining
MAMTA recently, he was part of NACO truckers TSG as a Regional
Manager for the North Indian States.
Mr. Prashant has published and presented various papers at both
national and international level important being on Hospital
Sanitation at SACOSAN-III at Vigyan Bhawan in 2008 and peer
publication in Current Science Journal.

Ms. Anjana Matta,

Has been working since last 16 years in areas of counseling,
training, community development and project management with women,
children young people and service providers on issues of
Reproductive child health, integrated development, domestic
violence, young people reproductive and sexual health, community
mobilization, refuges welfare etc. have worked with UNHCR project
for more than 5 years and has been working in MAMTA since last 5
years.
Mr. Faiyaz Akhtar, Master of
Social Work from Aligarh Muslim University, India (1997) and MSc. in
(Applied Anthropology) from Oregon State University, USA (2005) has
10 years of experience in implementing and development projects in
various parts of the country. Young People’s Sexual and Reproductive
Health (YS-RHR), HIV and AIDS and other issues focusing development
of Young People in India are the core areas of his works. Mr. Akhtar
is recipient of prestigious Tom Hogg Award, given to international
Scholars by Oregon State University in the year 2005.
Mr. Murai Chandra, M-Phil, PGDMA in Export Management, Experience in implementation of
development programmes with special emphasis on women empowerment
and gender. Experience in imparting gender sensitization and

reproductive health, gender, life skill education early marriage and
early pregnancy and communication.

Regional Planning & Master in Geography with specialization in M.A.

Devesh K. Sahu,
Doctorate in Social Anthropology from G.G. University, Bilaspur. He
has worked in the field of community development for more than 6
years mainly focusing on reproductive and child health, HIV and
AIDS, migration, gender, youth reproductive and sexual health. His
key competency includes conducting ethnographic field studies in
tribal as well as rural areas, management of large scale survey like
DLHS-RCH and designing, managing and evaluation of community based
intervention research projects through participatory approaches.
Ms. Rahat Bahl has professional degree in Public Nutrition
(Masters in Home Science) from University of Delhi. During her 3
years of work experience in development sector she was involved in
planning, monitoring and evaluation of the project, community
mobilisation, documentation and conducting nutrition education
sessions and coordinating the activities of National level Network,
advocating the rights of Young people.
Ms. Chhaya Singh,
B. Sc. Honors in Botany, Master in Library and Information
Science, More than 5 years working experiences of Knowledge &
Information Management with most renowned and completely automated
libraries in Delhi.
Pankaj Sharma, Has holds the degree of
MPH (Program Design & Management) and MBA (Human Resource
Management, having experience of over 5 years in intervening health programmes in India, including planning, monitoring, MIS,
evaluation. The key subjects of experience are Reproductive & Sexual
Health, Maternal and New born Health, HIV-AIDS, Early Marriage and
Early Pregnancy.
Amitesh Sombanshi, Has hold
