Objectives

  • To promote a better understanding of young people’s sexual and reproductive health issues through experience sharing in the context of South Asian countries.

  • To enhance the capacities of individuals / institutions to work effectively on young people’s sexual and reproductive health issues with a rights perspective.

  • To network effectively across the South Asian region to advocate for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people.

  • To facilitate formulation of policies, programs and strategies that are more responsive to the health needs of young people.

Project Brief

MAMTA, with a long experience of working with young people on health and development issues, and RFSU, with 70 years of experience in working with sexuality education and reproductive health, will together organize and conduct an Advanced International Training Program on Young People’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.

 

The course is open to Professionals in the Governmental and National / International Non-Governmental Organizations / Agencies, Decision/Policy Makers, Health Professionals, Educationists, Social Scientists / Researchers, or Media Personnel; who:

Are in the middle or senior level position within the organization, with a basic understanding and experience in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Young People;

 

Have proficiency in English  and

 

Belong to India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, or Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
